Perspective Corrections with Photoshop Touch (updated 5/12/2012)
Steinmueller Photo |
05-12-2012 Adobe Photoshop Touch is a new app that works on the iPad 2 or newer (no iphone support). This app is so rich in terms of functionality (no surprise coming from Photoshop) that covering it in a single article does not make sense for us. We plan to write some short articles on certain unique features.
Note updated 5/12/2012: Photoshop Touch limits the output image size now to 2048x2048 pixels. We hope that at some point Adobe lifts this limit. For web images the size is just fine.
We recently showed how to correct perspective distortions on the iPhone here.
With the iPhone wide angle you often get perspective distorted images. Here is a sample session how to reduce this in Photoshop Touch.

We use the "Warp" tool to reduce the distortions. Best not to perform too strong corrections as it may look so fake.

The "Warp" tool is actually disigned to create distortions. We just used a simple subset of its capabilities. We recommend to use a stylus for working with Photoshop Touch.
